Morgan Doughty is a native of Mena, Arkansas, and has been a resident of Northwest Arkansas since 2003. She attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she graduated in 2007 with a degree in International Economics & Business and a minor in Marketing.  She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 2010, where she served as a Note & Comment Editor of The Journal of Food Law & Policy and graduated cum laude. She is licensed to practice in the states of Arkansas and Missouri, as well as the federal courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas.
